The L21 philosophy is a hands-on approach, with senior executives taking a lead role in all projects. The primary goal of all research conducted is to produce actionable information that can be driven back into the organization to produce positive financial results.
Given the hands-on approach, in her role as Research Director, Ms. Cohan is directly responsible for conducting all research projects. This includes project planning, kick-off meetings, designing sampling strategies, conducting internal interviews with key personnel to determine research objectives and survey content, reviewing previous research, designing and working with clients to modify surveys, coordinating printing/mailing activities, overseeing coding/keying activities, as well as conducting the analysis, writing the reports, and conducting the management briefings.
From 1984 through 1996, Ms. Cohan worked for Technical Assistance Research Programs, Inc. (TARP), a Virginia based research and consulting firm. During this time, she assisted over 500 leading companies across a wide range of industries, in improving customer satisfaction and loyalty, and in quantifying the bottom line benefits derived from such improvements. She specialized in conducting and interpreting baseline satisfaction surveys and the use of economic models to quantify the bottom line impact of quality and service. Her responsibilities also included benchmarking studies, employee surveys, and internal/external supplier research.

| On a Personal Note |
|
Since 1999 Christa has been on the Board of Directors of The Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation. CCCF was founded in 1970 by concerned parents of children with cancer. CCCF's membership and affiliate groups consist of parents, children, family members, health care professionals, educators and local groups. She joined the CCCF Board at the urging of the then executive director, Carolyn Corry. Unfortunately, Carolyn died unexpectedly before her term began. Christa continues to serve CCCF in part to honor the memory of her friend and in part to give back for a lifetime of love and support she has received from others.
